Hospital waits 10 days to register death. Sources say Brazilian model Pamela Baris Nascimento’s liver might have been punctured during the procedure.

A 27-year-old Brazilian model and actress died while undergoing liposuction surgery but hospital officials did not properly record her death for more than a week, authorities say.

Police are looking into the death of Pamela Baris do Nascimento, who died from hemorrhaging on Oct. 19 while on the operating table at Green Hill Hospital in Sao Paulo.

Her death was not recorded at the hospital until Oct. 29, police told the Independent.
